             IT HELPDESK SUPPORT TECHNICIAN (Ref: ITS)
 
Description:  The position holder will provide IT 1stlevel helpdesk support to Company’s customers worldwide, focusing on services as first point of contact via phone, and/or other media IT support requests.
 

  • Tasks and Responsibilities:
    • Log all cases and assure correct and comprehensive data to allow for report analysis
    • Handle high volume of low to medium complex IT service requests and incidents and relay requests/problems to 2nd/3rd level support when first contact resolution is not adequate
    • Service customers in a friendly and efficient manner and apply workarounds if final solution cannot be applied in short time
    • Advise and consult customers how to use Landis+Gyr Standard Client Operating Systems and Applications
    • Serve as first point of contact for managing User account administration and Active Directory
    • Troubleshooting network connectivity in a LAN/WAN environment and provides backup support to the Network Administrator as needed

 

  • Required Skills:
    • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Helpdesk Service& support/helpdesk environment
    • Strong focus on customer service
    • Proven track record for service delivery, problem analysis and resolution
    • Basic knowledge of VoIP and VLAN configuration
    • Strong IT support background including a thorough understanding of the MS Operating Systems, Desktop Applications and some LAN & WAN background.
    • Strong analysis and problem-solving skills
    • Able to manage time effectively and set priorities appropriately
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Communication in German (verbal and writing) will be considered as aplus
